Thread: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Hits Japan in March

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker has been flagged with a TBA date since its announcement. But it looks like the wait to play the full version won't be all that long.

This week's issue of Japan's Weekly Famitsu has confirmation of a March 18 release date for the game. In Japan, the game will be priced at standard PSP pricing of 5,229 yen.

The release time frame be too much of a surprise given the rush of big titles that tends to hit prior to the close of the fiscal year, but we certainly weren't expecting to play the final version of the next Metal Gear game so early!

Famitsu's date concerns Japan only, of course. Metal Gear series is pretty internationally minded, so we can probably expect a worldwide release around the March 18 time frame as well.

Its pretty sure that it will hit PSP consoles in Japan on March 18, 2010.
Peace Walker will be the first Metal Gear title for a portable platform directed by series' creator Hideo Kojima.
