Thread: How to Downgrade PSP firmware 5.50 GEN-D2 to 5.00 M33-6

Now I teach you, how can you downgrade your PSP's Custom Firmware from 5.50GEN-D2 (Kinda buggy CWF) back to everyones favourite: 5.00 M33-6.

I have made "Repack" containing all files you need.
Removed useless stuff, just required files are included.

So, go ahead and DOWNLOAD Following Package:

Extract to desktop, and you get "RECOVERY"-folder

Now, please connect your PSP to Computer via USB or Memorystick Reader.
Take RECOVERY-folder to PSP->GAME

Then, you may unplug USB, or take Memorystick back into your PSP.

Go to Games -> Memorystick -> Start Recovery Flasher.

Now, you should see program asking you to accept the licence.

Notice: You do this at your own risk!..Dont blame anyone if you fail

Accept, and then you should see something like this:


Make sure, that Target FW is 5.00 Then Choose "INSTALL CWF". And Press X-button. Choose "Reset (format) Blah Blah.."

It should start recovering files.. This takes ~2minutes.
Press any button when its ready (Theres text saying "Press any button to shutdown).

Now, take a breath and wait till POWER Light doesnt flash anymore.
Go ahead, and put it back on.. YAY! We did it! (If you PSP works lol ;))

Go to Settings -> System Information
You should now have 5.00 M33-6

This works for 1000-2000 Models.
psp 3000 Requires ChiHEN-tweaking
