Warning: This applies only for hackable PSPs, not for ChickHEN users (Cursed PSPs)
Recently new games were patched allowing us to play it in our PSP with CFW 5.00 M33-6 but some PSP owners are still using older firmware, If you want to UPDATE your PSP to 5.00 M33-6 here is the process:

Extract the .rar file in your desktop or wherever you can find it easily

Connect your PSP to your computer

Copy the UPDATE folder (with the contents) from the file you downloaded in your PSP (PSP/GAME folder)

You can update firmwares below 5.00 (3.71, 3.80, 3.90, etc.)

Go to your Memory Stick under Game Menu

Select PSP™ Update ver 5.00
__________
Then you will be in this screen, unpacking data
__________
Once data is loaded, it will ask you to press X, just press X
__________
Next screen, updating to ver 5.00, press X
__________
Accept the User Agreement
__________
Wait for the firmware to be installed, will take a few minutes
__________
Once completed, just press X to restart, do not restart by pressing the power button or your PSP will BRICK
__________
Check to see if its already 5.00 M33-6
__________
Now go to recovery menu, Turn off your PSP by pressing the power switch for a few seconds
Then, press and hold R + turn on your PSP

Go to configuration
__________
Things that you need to change:
- You can Enable or Disable this option (your preference)
- Should be 5.XX
- This is important, should be M33 driver or Sony NP6990 depends on the Game Compatibility
- VSH Menu allows you to access some recovery options like UMD Mode, CPU Speed, XMB Usb Device, can turn this on or off but I suggest to leave it ENABLED so you can easily change UMD Mode for Game Compatibility
- Do not touch, Just leave it to Memory Stick
To access VSH Menu just press SELECT in the PSP XMB Menu
Make sure you have more that 78% of battery (recommended to fully charged or connect to your PSP charger) and don't manually turn off the PSP while installing to avoid having a BRICKED PSP

OK! for CFW 5.00 M33 users heres what you need to do:
You can update your (5.00 M33, 5.00 M33-3, 5.00 M33-4, etc) lower versions to 5.00 M33-6 without going to the whole process, Just delete the four files listed above leaving EBOOT.PBP (M33-6) make sure to back-up your files
