Default FFVIII PSP Version soon to be on PSN

Now I'm sure everyone has heard this news by now but if not, Sony has decided to sell the PSP converted version of Final Fantasy VIII on the PSN also known as the Playstation Network; the online store where you can buy downloadable PSP games and such.

Now my question here is this: How do you think they fixed the issues on this game in order to get it to play 100% on the PSP? We've been trying for years but cannot get this thing to play bug-free no matter what. I have been looking all over the net and asked a few places but no-one seems to have an idea. Well needless to say we might not know until it's available to buy, as of right now it's on the PSN site but the download link is not there at the moment. It just brings you back to the description page for the game.

I'm interested in what you guys think of this and what possible theories you might have as to what they fixed or how they did it.

Well personally I've had an issue where the game with freeze if I scan certain enemies or if a boss battle goes on for too long. I mean I know there are ways around this issue via using different save number and such but still it's been an issue for some players.

I would guess that they just took out elements of the game that may have been an issue before just like you said RNB. As for me I play it using my 4.01M33-2 Slimline PSP now. I had played it well on my classic's in the past and truth be told never got any errors with 3.03 OE-A, so I don't know if the core issue was the firmware, POPs, or just the conversion process.

I've completed it 3 times using POPS 3.80 or 3.90 I forgot. But I've used that same POP version throughout all four discs using every spells, GFs and anything imaginable that may make the game freeze, but no freezes. :\

And if you're interested in knowing how I did my rip, I ripped it from my mint disc (imgBURN, bin + cue) but used a different game ID I got from gamerspress something like SLSP02100 or something like that it supposedly reduces the freezing and such, then I merged all four discs (IMG) w/ PSX2PSP 1.4.2 and played using 3.80 or 3.90 I forgot. I mean it's been months and I've finished it 3 times w/ no issues.
    The Fight will start !
