    Question PS2 Controller on ps3?

Hay guys i can get a converter. But I dont want to spend mony so can i connect my ps2 controller to the usb port on the ps3 by tin foil (red neck style) XD? I might just open up the cord and fiddle with the wires and connect them to usb wires, hopefully making my ps2 controller work with the ps3 and my games.

The only reason they don't work is because Sony have not produced a way of connecting the PS2 controller to the PS3. So with this third party adapter connected between the two devices it should in theory work to play games with. The only problem you'd have is there would be no motion sensor capability but it seems so far that most games have the option to disable this feature anyway. Also you would not be able to quit games or turn off system from the PS2 controller.

It's prob better to spend a little more than the price of the adapter and just get another Six axis pad instead though........

The ps3 controllers work via bluetooth and there are no connections to plug in older ps2 controllers, either first or third party models.

However there are adapters you can buy which will allow you to use these older controllers, which plug into the usb ports on the ps3. Should work with any controllers at all.

Where can you buy these adapters? And do they work well, without too many problems etc? Could be relevant for me!
