Thread: Considering buying a PS3....

I am considering getting a PS3 in the near future, but still unsure whether it is worth it . I recently got rid of my XBOX 360, so if anyone who has had experience with both consoles, I would appreciate it if you'd fill me in on which you prefer.

Preferences are a matter of opinion. There are some good dedicated titles to the PS3 and the graphics are similar in quality. Differences are cosmetic. PS3 has the bluray drive and, I feel, looks better on a tv stand, but really, since you've already gotten rid of Xbox 360, if you want HD gaming, I'm not certain there's another path anyway.

You've given up on the 360, so it's a no brainer really if you want another console for HD gaming, What was your third option ?

I personally think it is worth it getting a PS3, especially nowadays when you have a big catalogue of games and better value console (vs. when it first came out)

Why did you discard your xbox 360 ? I'm planning to buy it. Is there any particular reason why ?
I don't want a PS3 as their games are expensive and there is no way you can find torrents to download ps3 games ( not in the near future ).

It is worth buying PS3 but in the region where I lived PS3 games are very expensive as compared to XBOX360

Why did you get rid of your Xbox? And if you don't get a PS3, what will you get instead of it to replace your Xbox? A Wii? (as I see it, this might be your only other option)

That's too bad! How big is the difference? (more or less)

Where I live prices for games for all of the consoles are pretty much the same, I though that was the case everywhere to tell you the truth...

It has a huge difference ... I think it was mainly due to the blue ray dvd.
