Thread: ps3 games wont play ps1 games

the other day I got out several of my old ps1 games and found that my ps2 console would not recognize them. one game wouldn't register at all and the other game would appear as an audio cd. both games have been played previously on this very console, so I am at a lost as to the change now. Has anyone had this issue and is there a way to fix it short of replacing the games?

Are you sure your PS3 managed to play a PS1 disc ?
I don't think it is able to do that , my PS2 can't play my PS1 games , so i doubt that a PS3 will be able to.

I think it is a total software or hardware change... that might be the problem!

Try Usb advance or Mod chip. These help you to PS1 in PS2. USB Advance is also helps to play PS2 games in PS3.

i tried to play the ps 1 games on PS 2 because have a lot of PS 1 games .... but they didn't work at all .....
the software totally differs from each other .....but not tried to play the ps games over PS 3 ....
doesn't know if they work or not ... :S :S
